After being put in to bat first, Asia Lions managed to posts 193/4 in 20 overs, setting a target of 194 in front of the Indian Maharajas. Indian openers Wasim Jaffer and Naman Ojha gave a quick start but Ojha was soon cheaply dismissed.

After Ojha's dismissal, Wasim Jaffer held the innings and entertained the fans with his batting display. Jaffer was seen in a never-seen-before avatar and was batting in a different rhythm. In his innings of 25 balls, Jaffer smacked 7 classy boundaries and scored 35 runs before getting out.

Wasim Jaffer maintained a strike rate of 140 during his innings which implies his aggressiveness. However, he was dismissed by Mohammad Rafiq and was seen disappointed with himself after not being able to take India to victory.
