Jonny Bairstow was fielding at the backward square leg region on day 2 of the SCG Test. In the 130th over of the innings, the sun was shining right in front of Bairstow and he couldn't see when and where Mitchell Starc hit the ball. The ball raced away to the boundary and Bairstow had no idea.

His old Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) opening partner David Warner was sitting at the boundary rope along with his Australian mates, just behind Bairstow. In the next over, when the ball once again came towards the Englishman, he safely kept an eye on it.

Warner couldn't help himself but clap after looking towards Bairstow with a smirk on his face and Bairstow too acknowledged his SRH's teammates' gesture with a thumbs up.

Was it a sarcastic one or a genuine appreciation for his old mate, only Warner and Bairstow can tell.
