India vs West Indies: It won't be an overstatement to make that millions of youngsters dream to make their debut for the Indian team in cricket. And when a player realizes this dream, he gets his debut cap from a senior player to honour the efforts and hard work they've put into representing their team on the international level.

Young leg-spinner from Rajasthan, Ravi Bishnoi made his debut in the 1st T20I between India and West Indies at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Bishnoi was handed his debut cap by his senior spinner and one of the celebrated Indian limited-overs cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. It surely must have been a proud and satisfying feeling to get his debut cap, and that too from a player like Chahal.

However, this feeling didn't last long to its full potential. West Indies started aggressively despite losing opener Brandon King in the first over. At 44/1 after the powerplay, Yuzvendra Chahal was brought into the bowling attack.

On the very first delivery, Windies batter Nicholas Pooran smashed the full-length delivery outside off towards long-off. The ball went very high in the air, although it looked like it just might fall short of the boundary. Ravi Bishnoi was placed at long-off and ran towards the ball, settled under it and took the catch reverse-cupped.

However, the debutant wasn't diligent enough as he stepped on the boundary cushion while taking the catch. The umpire wanted to be 100% sure and sent the decision to the third umpire; signalling out as the soft signal. The third umpire looked at the replay once and gave it a six. Yuzvendra Chahal was disappointed as he could've struck in the first ball of his very first over.

Ravi Bishnoi looked equally disappointed as Chahal - if the senior spinner is trying his best to make his way in the T20I squad, Bishnoi is also looking to present a strong case of representing India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Although Chahal's disappointment didn't last for long as Chahal dismissed the Kyle Mayers, who was looking dangerous with his 7 boundaries in 24 balls, on the 5th ball of that very over.
