WATCH: David Warner Plots His Own Dismissal Against Liam Livingstone
David Warner registered a golden duck in IPL after nearly nine years.
Skills and luck go hand-in-hand in cricket. You can have all the skills in the world and even back yourself to apply them whenever there is an opportunity but if the luck isn't in your favor, you can't do much about it.
David Warner is one of the best batters ever to play T20 cricket. He is a dynamic all-phase batter who can give explosive starts to the team and play long innings without compromising on the scoring rate. Warner is a terrific hitter of the spin and won't spare a slow off-spinner, especially in a powerplay.

In the match against Punjab Kings, David Warner and Sarfaraz Khan came out to open the inning and Liam Livingstone - a part-time off-spinner - was asked to take the new ball. Sarfaraz took the strike but seeing Livingstone bowling the first over, Warner switched sides to face the first ball.
It was a great move as Warner backed his ability to hit off-spin and make the most of Livingstone's over to give Delhi Capitals a solid start. But fate had different plans.
Livingstone bowled a nothing ball - wide outside off stump, short of a length - and Warner opened up his arms to smack the ball but to his luck, the ball went straight to the fielder.
