RR vs GT IPL 2022: Jos 'the boss' Buttler took Mumbai Indians head on the last time he played at Dr DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai as he smacked a century. The explosive opener showed the same intent while chasing a good total against Gujarat Titans, and completed his fifty inside the powerplay with a six. However, Ferguson cleaned up Buttler on the very next delivery and showed a mirror to the batter.

Opening the innings, Buttler was batting on 48 runs in just 22 balls when he faced the 4th delivery of the 6th over being bowled by Lockie Ferguson. The right-arm fast bowler delivered a length ball, and Buttle shuffled across to scoop the ball over fine leg while using the pace on the ball. The ball went across the fence as Jos Buttler completed a 23-ball fifty while chasing a huge target and Rajasthan Royals had already lost 2 wickets by the time.

However, Ferguson tried a slower ball on the next delivery, delivering it in the black hole. Buttler failed to dig out the leg-cutter and the ball beat his bat's outside edge to crash into the base of the middle and off stump.
