WATCH: Harry Brook Smacks Six Fours In An Over; Smiles After Collecting 24 Runs In Off Six Deliveries
Harry Brook joined other English batters in thrashing Pakistan bowlers in the 1st test, taking on spinner Saud Shakeel for 6 fours in an over.
PAK vs ENG 1st Test: In probably the most batter-friendly Test surface on 1st day, England batters came out all guns blazing against Pakistan in the 1st Test. After openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, along with Ollie Pope scored individual tons, Harry Brook also moved towards the landmark in style.
After coming out to bat at 286/3, Harry Brook held the crease with Ollie Pope as he scored 60 runs off 58 balls till the 66th over. In the 67th over, Saud Shakeel came on to bowl his 2nd over of the match. Harry Brook took on the spinner from the 1st delivery, whacking a dragged-down short ball outside off over mid-wicket for a four.

The second delivery was a low full toss around off stump line, and Brook drove it the extra cover boundary to collect four runs. The third delivery was a half volley by Saud Shakeel as the 23-year-old smashed it down the ground to complete a hattrick of fours.
Saud Shakeel then delivered a half-tracker at the stumps which was pulled away yet again for a four. On the 5th delivery, Harry Brook slapped away the ball to the extra boundary for his 5th boundary of the over. The last delivery was pulled away by the English batter to the midwicket boundary and completed 6 boundaries off the over. Brook moved from 60* to 84* in the space of 1 over.

While writing this piece, England are at 451/3 in 69 overs with Ollie Pope (104*) and Harry Brook (85*) at the crease for hosts. For Pakistan, Zahid Mahmood grabbed 2 wickets but gave away 152 runs in 22 overs at an economy of 6.90. Apart from Zahid, Haris Rauf was the only wicket-taker with Zak Crawley's scalp to his name. Earlier, England captain Ben Stokes won the toss & opted to bat first against Pakistan in the 1st Test. This match is being played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.
