WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah Bounces Out KKR Batting Lineup To Pick First Fifer In IPL
Jasprit Bumrah completed his first five-wicket haul and finished with the figures of 5/10 - the best bowling figures in IPL.
Just as Mumbai Indians' season was coming to end after a poor show in the IPL 2022, chants of Jasprit Bumrah being an overrated bowler grew louder. In 10 matches, Bumrah had taken just five wickets, which didn't help in making much of an impact for MI, or so they thought. Bumrah had to silence his critics soon and he did that in style.
Against Kolkata Knight Riders, Bumrah was at his lethal best. He didn't let any KKR batter let loose against him and set them all up against bouncers. He came to bowl in the 15th over and the first ball he bowled to Andre Russell was a perfect yorker that imbalanced the great West Indian.

On the next ball, Bumrah bowled a back of the length delivery which Russell attempted to hit over long-on but got caught at the boundary. On the fifth ball of the same over, Bumrah once bowled a perfect bouncer, right on Nitish Rana's face, who ended up edging the ball to the keeper.
In the 18th over, Bumrah bowled a short ball and Sheldon Jackson attempted to pull but ended up top-edging the ball to get caught in the deep. Two balls later, Pat Cummins too got out attempting to hit a pull. On the next ball, Sunil Narine too put his bat to save his face from a brutal Bumrah bouncer and gave the catch to the man himself.
