Jos Buttler's innings today had that resilience. Buttler batted over 250 minutes to save the second test. He played 207 balls for his 26 runs; a strike rate of 12.56. Anything that was coming towards Buttler, he was either leaving it or dead batting it.

Australian bowlers were only hoping for a mistake by Buttler or looking to get the rest of the batters out. However, to their luck, Buttler did something unthinkable. 

As Buttler dead batted yet another delivery, his backfoot touched the stumps and lights shined bright in the Australian faces and diminished for England. Jos Buttler's blackathon ended in the least expected way - Hit Wicket.

It was a sad way to finish one of the most memorable innings or perhaps it'll will add to the remembrance for a long time.
