During the Super smash League match at Basin Reserve, New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner helped his team, Northern Knights, win the match with his 59 runs off 35 balls. His innings included six sixes and four fours.

One of his sixes went beyond the boundary and into the New Zealand Cricket Museum which is situated inside the ground. The ball broke the window of the Museum and landed inside. However, the umpires couldn't take out the ball since the Museum was locked.
