On the fifth ball of the 18th over, Starc tried to attempt a slow ball yorker but failed miserably. The ball slipped out of his hands and went as high as 3 meters and that too towards the other pitch.
The ball landed right in front of the wicketkeeper Mathew Wade but at such an awkward height that even he couldn't stop the ball, which went to the boundary for a four. The umpire immediately called the no-ball.

However, the Sri Lankan captain couldn't make much of the free-hit on the next ball and only scored one run. Sri Lanka had an underwhelming batting performance and only managed to 121/6 in the first innings.
