SRH vs CSK IPL 2022: With the addition of 2 new teams, this season of IPL has given comparatively more chances to youngsters. And the youngsters have responded well, with their match-winning crucial performances. After going for runs in the first few matches, Mukesh paid back the Chennai franchise with his match-winning performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Chasing a target of 203, Sunrisers Hyderabad were off to a good start with 58 runs on the board with no wickets in the 6th over. On the 5th delivery of the over, Mukesh delivered a short delivery with the pace off the ball, pushed wide of off. Abhishek Sharma dragged for a lofted pull shot, looking to go over mid-wicket. However, it was spooned high off the bat and went to the left of long-on.

Dwaine Pretorius made his ground and completed a reverse cupped catch right in front of his chest. The young SRH opener was dismissed after scoring 39 runs in 24 balls with 5 fours and a six. 

Rahul Tripathi, who has been in good form this season, came out to bat next. Mukesh banged the next delivery short & outside off. Rahul shaped for the uppercut, arching back slightly. However, the batter was cramped for space and the ball ran off the face of the bat & went straight down to Simarjeet Singh at third man. 

Mukesh took 2 consecutive wickets and put SRH on the backfoot while chasing a huge target. In the 18th over, Mukesh went on to dismiss explosive batter Shashank Singh and all-rounder Washington Sundar to demolish any chances of Sunrisers winning the match.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson won the toss & opted to bat first against Chennai Super Kings in the 46th match of IPL 2022. This match was played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
