Azhar Ali was moving towards another test century, and Pat Cummins spoilt the party by dismissing the batter at a score of 78. Azhar Ali tried to straight drive Cummins' delivery but mis-hit caused the ball to go into the air. Aussie skipper Pat Cummins displayed fabulous fitness and took the catch despite being in his follow through and losing his balance.

Azhar Ali departed after scoring 78 runs off 208 balls with 7 fours and a six. At the time of writing this piece, Pakistan are at 241/3 in the 3rd session on day 3, trailing by 150 runs. Babar Azam (49*) and Fawad Alam (12*) are at the crease for the hosts. With Day 3 about to end and 7 wickets still remaining in the second innings, the third test being played at Lahore is also moving towards a draw.

Up until now, the series has been quite a dead rubber and the first two matches have already ended in a draw. The first test was played at Rawalpindi and the second test was played at Karachi where the ultra batter-friendly pitches produced almost nothing for the bowlers and hence the tests ended in a draw.
