In the 2nd semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022, fifties by Hardik Pandya (63) and Virat Kohli (50) helped India post a target of 169 runs against England. Knocks by Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya earned appreciation from fans in numbers. Amidst this, a gesture by wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant also earned the appreciation of all. A video of the same is getting viral on the internet.

Pant Sacrificed his wicket: In this match, Rishabh Pant sacrificed his wicket for on-song Hardik Pandya. This incident was witnessed in the last over of the Indian innings. On the third ball of Chris Jordan's over, Pant was unable to connect with a big shot after which the ball went to the wicket-keeper. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya took off from the non-striker's end to complete a single but Pant wasn't ready for the run.

Hardik was well set on the crease due to which, Pant analyzed the tough conditions and started running towards the non-striker's end. Rishabh won the heart of all the fans and a video of the same is getting viral on the internet. 

Rishabh didn't look a bit disappointed after getting out. The Southpaw knew that Hardik was the best batter in the death overs for India at the moment. Consequently, Rishabh Pant signalled a 'thumbs up' to Hardik Pandya after getting run out. The keeper-batter's reaction was caught on camera and the fans are now liking the video in numbers.

It is noteworthy that Rishabh Pant didn't get much game time in this tournament. In the Super 12 stage, Rishabh Pant was given a chance in only 1 match, in which he was dismissed for scoring just 3 runs. Hardik Pandya scored 63 runs. After Pant got dismissed, Hardik smacked 10 runs in the next 2 balls.
