In the ongoing final match of IPL 2022 between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat captain & all-rounder Hardik Pandya took charge as he picked up 3 wickets. Amidst this, the GT skipper yet again managed to dismiss the RR captain. After dismissing his conterpart in the league stage via a run out, Hardik yet again dismissed Sanju in a much more important match.

After Rajasthan Royals lost their first wicket in the 4th over in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal (22), Jos Buttler & Sanju Samson held the crease as these two retained players of RR added 29 runs in 26 deliveries for the second wicket.

Captain Hardik Pandya brought himself on to bowl the 9th over of the innings, as it was absolutely necessary for Gujarat Titans to get a break through. On the second delivery, Pandya bowled a hard length, banged in short. Sanju Samson didn't get into a good position to play the pull shot and played it from the front-foot, failing to get enoughw eight behind the shot.

The ball spooned off the higher part of the bat and went into the air over backward point. R Sai Kishore ran in to settle under and safely completed his second catch of the match. Samson was dismissed after scoring just 14 runs in 11 deliveries with 2 fours in an all-important finale to the season.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss & opted to bat first against Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 Final. While Gujarat will be eyeing their maiden title win in their debut season, Rajasthan have reached the final for the first time ever since winning the title in the inaugural season. This match is being played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
