ENG vs IND - In the 3rd and decided ODI, India faced a huge blow in the form of Jasprit Bumrah's back spasm, which resulted in him being ruled out of the important match. However, Mohammad Siraj, who came in as a replacement, showed his value as he dismisses ace batters Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root in his first over, that too for a duck!

After Jason Roy started things off with three boundaries in the first over by Mohammad Shami, his opening partner Jonny Bairstow got ready to up the run rate further from the other end. Mohammad Siraj came on to bowl the second over of the innings and shattered the batter's strategy.

Siraj bowled the first two deliveries without conceding a run. On the 3rd delivery, Siraj bowled an angled in good length delivery. Bairstow closed the face of his bat to work it into the leg-sid but all he managed was a tame leading edge. The ball ballooned towards mid-off and substitute fielder Shreyas Iyer completed an easy catch. In form Jonny Bairstow was dismissed for a 3-ball duck.

Joe Root came out to bat next for the English team. The ace batter also faced two dot deliveries against Siraj. On the last delivery of the over, Siraj bowled excellent angling in delivery. Joe Root had to play it as it was on off-stump, and the ball swung away late to take the outside edge as it flew to second slip. Rohit Sharma took a sharp catch to his right. Joe Root was dismissed for a three-ball duck courtesy of perfect Test match line & length from Siraj. The bowler also completed a double wicket maiden in his first over of the match.

While talking about the match, England are at 59.2 after 8 overs. After a double blow by Siraj in the 2nd over, Jason Roy (35*) and Ben Stokes (23*) have held the crease for the hosts. Earlier, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss & opted to bowl first against England in the 3rd ODI. This match is being played at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.
