On a delivery angling in on his body, pitched on short of back length, Kohli played it towards backward square on backfoot. Jos Buttler was positioned there and dived to his right to stop the ball and sent it back towards the non-striker's end, where Kohli was charging in to steal the second run.

The ball deflected off Kohli's leg and missed the backup fielder, going towards long-off. However, Kohli didn't try to steal another run despite the overthrow. The 33-year old simply put his hands up and admitted his unintentional mistake.

It is noteworthy that IPL 2022 hasn't been a special season for the former India and RCB captain. After playing the Qualifier 2, the batter has played 16 innings and averaging 22.73, he has scored 341 runs including two fifties.

While Prasidh Krishna has managed to dismiss Virat Kohli twice this season in 7 deliveries, without conceding a run.
