Pakistan and West Indies currently ranked 8th and 9th respectively in ICC ODI team rankings will play much more than the series trophy when they take on each other in Guyana. If West Indies are able to win all three ODIs, they will move ahead of Pakistan to 8th position less than six months before the cut-off date of September 30.

West Indies

Known faces Brathwaite, Pollard, Badree and Narine are absent as they all are playing in IPL. Jason Holder would be expecting the new bunch of players to perform. Home condition seems to be the only advantage with West Indies. With all matches being held in Guyana, the wicket is expected to be batting-friendly. Leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo will like to exploit the slow pitch of Guyana. Pacers Shannon Gabriel, Miguel Cummins and Alzarri Joseph all are included in the squad.
