Kolkata, Jan 23 (IANS) Amid speculations that he might take up the hot seat after the Supreme Court barred sidelined Indian cricket board chief N. Srinivasan from contesting the polls, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Jagmohan Dalmiya Friday vouched for a positive contribution from his side.

"It is a million dollar question, and I am not ready with the answer. Time will show that how the things take course," the veteran cricket administrator replied to media queries about who will be Srinivasan's replacement.

Asked if he would contest the polls, Dalmiya, a former BCCI president said: "(I) will be there for positive contribution. I have never ever, at least, in my knowledge, take things in a negative way. Dalmiya should do whatever is in his control and if Dalmiya is missing, I will be very disappointed."

The Supreme Court Thursday barred Srinivasan from contesting election to a board post as long as he was involved in a "conflict of interest" as long as he was involved in a "conflict of interest" situation as an owner of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings.
