Dottin and Mathews scored 81 runs in the powerplay and were 100 by the 12th over. However, it was Sneh Rana, who provided the much-needed breakthrough for the Indians. She got Dottin out for 62.

The collapse began for the West Indies as India suddenly restricted the run flow and wickets started to fall. From 100/0, West Indies got bowled for 162. Anisa Mohammed and Chedean Nation surviving 54 balls for the eighth wicket was West Indies' next best partnership.

Jhulan Goswami picked got Mohammed out to become the highest wicket-taker in the Women's World Cup. The Indian legend has 40 wickets now in World Cups.

Earlier, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur notched up centuries as India posted a mammoth 317/8 in the first innings. The duo was involved in a 184-run stand for the fourth wicket.

Mithali Raj's decision to bat first on the pitch which was used in their 62-run loss to New Zealand was validated early on by Yastika Bhatia's 21-ball 31.

Mithali's promotion to three didn't go well as she got out early. Deepti Sharma took two boundaries off Shakera but fell to Anisa Mohammed while trying to slog sweep, and Hayley at first slip took a one-handed stunner to her right at slip.

Post that, it was all Mandhana and Harmanpreet's show as they helped India go past the 300-run mark.
