WTC Points Table: Australia continued their dominance at home as they thrashed South Africa by an innings and 182 runs, winning a home series against the Proteas after a long time. David Warner was the star of the match as he snapped back into form in his 100th Test match.
After opting to bowl first, the Pat Cummins-led Australian side exploited the weak South African batting lineup, bundling them out for 204 runs. In reply, David Warner scored 200 runs while Alex Carey scored 111 runs. Steve Smith scored 85 runs while Travis Head and Cameron Green registered 51 runs each.

In the second innings, Cameron Green picked a 5-fer as Australia completed a win by 18 runs and an innings, building an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the 3-match series. With this win, Australia have further consolidated their top spot on the points table, South Africa have shifted further down from the 3rd spot to the 4th.

South Africa's loss on the one hand is good for team India, with the former moving away from contention, Sri Lanka are the new challengers who are placed second and can pull off a turnaround.
Team India are placed second with four Tests still left to play. India clean swept Bangladesh 2-0 and now needs to win the upcoming 4-match home Test series against Australia by 4-0, 3-0 or 3-1 to make it to the finals.
