Yorkshire's attempts to secure the return of international cricket this summer have taken a hit after England's club was forced to delay a proposed Emergency General Meeting (EGM).
The EGM scheduled to take place on Wednesday evening was expected to confirm the governance changes in the wake of the Azeem Rafiq racism scandal. However, it was cancelled after Yorkshire admitted it "had not been properly called under club rules".
The development follows the claims from former chairman Robin Smith that the process to appoint Lord Kamlesh Patel to lead the board last year was "invalid".
