12-month bans for Smith, Warner
March 28 (CRICKETNMORE) - Steve Smith and David Warner have been suspended by Cricket Australia for 12 months and Cameron Bancroft for nine months over the ball-tampering scandal in South Africa.
Warner has also stepped down as captain of Indian Premier League franchise SunRisers Hyderabad, following Smith's decision to quit as skipper of Rajasthan Royals on Monday.
However, head coach Darren Lehmann will continue his tenure as per his contract.
