Indian openers have survived and made a steady start in the 1st ODI against England in Pune. 

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan had at times played and missed the ball and survived a few tough chances and have come through to score 64 runs at the end of 15 overs. 

Sharma got struck at the elbow of a rising delivery from fast bowler Mark Wood and looked in immense pain. He, however, continued to bat.
