Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is set to miss the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, IPL 2023. Bumrah is currently recovering from a back injury and according to reports, was given the option of undergoing back surgery.
Moreover, the bowler can also miss the World Test Championship (WTC) Finals, scheduled to be played on June 7th, in case India qualifies. BCCI's medical staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore are tracking Bumrah's case on priority, and it is understood that the team suggested the option of surgery to the pacer after repeating niggles since last August.
Jasprit Bumrah has tried to make a comeback more than once in the playing circuit but to no avail since his back injury. Mumbai Indians will miss the services of the ace pacer for the upcoming IPL 2023, set to start on March 31st.
