IND vs PAK: Courtesy of brilliant bowling by Bhuvneshwar Kumar & Hardik Pandya as well as an excellent performance from other bowlers, India were able to restrict arch-rivals Pakistan to 147/10 in 19.5 overs.
Bhvuneshwar Kumar provided the first wicket in the form of Pakistan captain Babar Azam (10) in the 3rd over. Fakhar Zaman (10) was next to be dismissed in the 6th over as Avesh Khan got him caught out behind the stumps by Dinesh Karthik.
However, Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed etched a partnership of 45 runs in 38 balls for the third wicket. Hardik Pandya broke through this partnership as he dismissed Iftikhar Ahmed (28) in the 13th over. In the 15th over, Hardik send back Rizwan (43) who remained the top scorer for the Pakistan team.
For India, Bhvuneshwar Kumar picked up 4 wickets while Hardik Pandya grabbed three important wickets. Arshdeep Singh picked up 2 wickets while Avesh Khan managed 1 wicket. India now need 148 runs in 20 overs to win their first match in this year's Asia Cup tournament.
Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss & opted to bowl first against Pakistan in the 2nd match of Asia Cup 2022. This match is being played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
