IND vs HK: Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav scored contrasting half-centuries as India posted 192/2 in 20 overs against Hong Kong in the 4th match of Asia Cup 2022.
Rohit Sharma was dismissed after scoring 21 runs off 13 balls, while KL Rahul spent some time out in the middle. However, he made a scratchy 36 runs off 39 balls before spinner Mohammad Ghazanfar got the better of him.
Indian batters had trouble scoring runs against Hong Kong spinners, who were bowling really slow, which ultimately got better of KL Rahul. However, Virat Kohli stayed at the crease and ensured team India reached a good total.
Thereon, Virat Kohli & Suryakumar Yadav etched an unbroken partnership of 98 runs in just 42 balls for the 3rd wicket, where SKY was the main aggressor and smacked Hong Kong bowlers in style. Suryakumar scored an unbeaten 68 runs off just 26 balls with 6 fours & 6 sixes. Virat Kohli also played a stabilizing knock as he remained unbeaten on 59 runs in 44 balls with 1 four & 3 sixes.
For Hong Kong, Ayush Shukla and Mohammad Ghazanfar picked up 1 wicket each. India now have to defend 193 runs in 20 overs against Hong Kong to proceed to the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2022.
