AUS vs ENG: Australian openers came out all guns blazing in the 3rd ODI against England as Travis Head and David Warner powered Australia to 355/5 against England in the 3rd ODI. Australia are 2-0 ahead in the series and would look to complete a clean sweep against current ODI World Champions England.
Opening the innings, Head and Warner added a monstrous 269 runs for the 1st wicket in 38 overs. Travis Head scored 152 runs in 130 balls with 16 fours & 4 sixes while David Warner smacked 106 runs in 102 balls with 8 fours & 2 sixes.
Both openers were dismissed by Olly Stone in the 39th over. The centurion from 2nd ODI, Steven Smith, scored 21 runs off 16 balls before he was also dismissed by Olly Stone. Marcus Stoinis scored 12 runs while Mitchell Marsh smacked 30 runs in 16 balls with a four and 2 sixes before getting dismissed in the last over.
Due to rain interference in the 43rd over, the match was reduced to 48 overs per side. Consequently, the target for England to chase down has been revised to 364 runs. For England, Olly Stone picked up 4 wickets and Liam Dawson managed 1 wicket.
