India has continued to get closer to the Australian total as they finish session 2 of Day 2 with a score of 189/5 on Sunday.
Starting the session from the score of 90/3, captain Ajinkya Rahane and Hanuma Vihari looked to survive against the moving ball in a slightly overcast conditions. The hard work of Australian pacers benefitted Nathan Lyon who got the wicket of Hanuma Vihari.
Wicket Keeper Rishabh Pant looked good and came with positive intent at the crease. Rahane, after Pant came to the crease, looked to score with a more positive approach.
After a brief knock of 29, Pant edged one to the keeper off Mitchell Starc's ball bringing Ravindra Jadeja to the crease.
The tea break was taken five balls early after a slight drizzle came in the last over. Jadeja and Rahane will be coming out to build the lead in the final session of day 2.
