The Indian has been bowled for 244 as Australia takes a healthy 94 run lead in the second innings of the third test match at Sydney. Ravindra Jadeja was left at the crease who tried to play his shots since there was no option left. A total of six wickets fell during this session.
Session 2 began with both Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishab Pant solidifying the innings. However, the pair got on in a space of four balls resulting in a usual Indian lower-order collapse. Pujara got out after scoring his slowest test fifty off 176 balls while Pant, struggling with an elbow blow, scored 36.
A total of three batsmen got run out during the Indian innings - Hanuma Vihar, R Ashwin, and Jasprit Bumrah. This is the first time in 12 years that three or more Indian batsmen have got run out in a Test inning.
Pat Cummins picked up four wickets, Josh Hazlewood took two while Mitchell Starc got one wicket.
Brief Score: 244/10 in 100.4 overs (Cheteshwar Pujara - 50; Pat Cummins - 4/29)
