Australian team ends the first session of the first pink ball test match of the series on top as India score just 41 runs after losing two wickets at Adelaide Oval.
Earlier, Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first on a slightly green top. Mitchell Starc struck gold as Prithvi Shaw got bowled on the second ball of the match.
Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara steadied the innings showcasing their defensive skills against a top Australian attack. A few edges and misses went in favor of the batsmen in the first session.
Agarwal got bowled on a beauty of a delivery by Pat Cummins, which came in completely deceiving the batsman.
So far, India has been on the defense and has only scored two boundaries. 41 is the lowest score by any team in the opening session of a test match in Australia since 2006.
Brief Score - 41/2 (Cheteshwar Pujara - 17*, Pat Cummins - 1/3)
