AUS vs SA: Opener Usman Khawaja scored his 3rd consecutive Test ton at SCG and neared his double ton as Australia scored 475/4 at stumps on Day 2 against South Africa in the 3rd Test.
After the game started with a rain delay of 17 minutes, Usman Khawaja was dropped by Anrich Nortje off Rabada when he was on 119 runs. Steven Smith completed his 30th Test century and went past Sir Don Bradman's tally of 29 centuries.
Smith also went past Michael Clarke and became the 4th highest run-getter amongst Australians. In the 3rd session, Travis Head showed thunderous batting as he smacked 70 runs off just 59 balls with 8 fours & a six. Due to early stumps, Usman Khawaja remained unbeaten on 195*, just 5 runs short of his maiden double ton.
Covid-infected Matt Renshaw (5*) will continue the play tomorrow along with Khawaja. For South Africa, Nortje picked up 2 wickets while Rabada and Keshav Maharaj managed 1 wicket each.
