Opening the innings, Cameron Green (1) was dismissed in the 2nd over. However, David Warner held the crease with #3 batter and captain Aaron Finch, etching a partnership of 85 runs in 52 balls for the 2nd wicket. However, Finch only scored 15 runs and was dismissed by Obed McCoy in the 11th over.
David Warner was dismissed in the next over after scoring 75 runs off 41 balls (4x10, 6x3). Towards the end, Tim David played a quick-fire knock as he smashed 42 runs off 20 balls (4x4, 6x3) to power Australia to 170+. For West Indies, Alzarri Joseph impressed again with his 3 wickets, while Obed McCoy grabbed two wickets. Odean Smith also managed a wicket.
