IND vs AUS: Australia have made a comeback of sorts and currently are in the driving seat with a lead of 62 runs in the 2nd innings, with 9 wickets in hand. Australia will put India in a spot of bother if they pile on runs as the hosts would bat in the 4th innings.
In the third session, Australia got the hosts' last three wickets in 21.3 overs while conceding 83 more runs. Axar Patel's 74 closed the gap between India and Australia's first-innings total.
Australia sent in Travis Head to open in the absence of David Warner, who looked comfortable in the middle as he remained not out on 39 runs in 40 balls. Marnus Labuschagne scored 16 runs in 19 balls while Usman Khawaja (6) fell early on again due to an irresponsible shot. Australia showed good batting approach as they scored 61 runs in 12 overs at the end of the day.
Earlier, India were bowled out for 262 runs in response to Australia's 263. Nathan Lyon picked up a 5-wicket haul in the 2nd Test after a silent start in the 1st Test.
