IND vs AUS: Australia had a disastrous start to the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023, losing the first Test by an innings and 132 runs in Nagpur. The visitors are now eager to register a win and have called up 26-year-old spinner Matthew Kuhnemann to their squad.
Quoting family reasons, right-arm leg spinner Mitchell Swepson has flown back to Australia. Swepson didn't get a place in the playing 11 in the first match with off-spinners Nathan Lyon and Todd Murphy playing.
Matthew Kuhnemann is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler who has played 12 First Class games. The spinner has picked up 32 wickets in these matches at an economy of 2.75 while averaging 34.25. The 26-year-old is yet to make his international Test debut for Australia, having already played 4 ODIs for the national team.

India and Australia will play the 2nd Test match from February 17th, in Delhi. India needs to win at least two more matches in this series to confirm their spot in the WTC finals, which is to be played from June 7th in The Oval.
