IND vs AUS: In the list of Australian players missing out on the rest of the Test series against India, captain Pat Cummins' name is the next addition. Cummins has decided to stay back in Australia to take care of his family.
The Australian pacer flew back to Australia in the ongoing gap between the 2nd and 3rd Test match to look after his ill mother. While he was scheduled to return in time for the 3rd Test, Cummins has decided to stay back as his mother is hospitalized and he has naturally decided to be with his family.

In his absence, vice-captain Steve Smith will take charge for the 3rd Test against India. David Warner & Josh Hazlewood have flown back to Australia due to an injury while Ashton Agar has gone back to play in the ongoing Australian domestic tournament.
However, Mitchell Swepson has returned after the birth of his child and Cricket Australia have named no more replacements, given there are enough players on the bench to cover. The 3rd Test between India and Australia will start on March 1st in Indore. India is currently leading the 4-match Test series 2-0.
