Bangladesh bowled out New Zealand for just 60 runs in the 1st T20I at Dhaka.
Despite opting to bat first, New Zealand was in no time reduced to 9/4 inside four overs as Bangladeshi spinners turned square from the first ball. Clueless Kiwis struggled to play the turners and got out on balls that went straight.
Captain Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls tried to revive the team by adding 34 runs for the fifth wicket. However, Mohammad Saifuddin removed Latham and the Kiwis once again fell like a pack of cards in the next 17 runs.
Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets while Nasum Ahmed, Shakib Al Hasan, and Saifuddin got two wickets each. Mehedi Hasan picked one wicket.
Brief Score:
New Zealand - 60/10 in 16.4 overs (Tom Latham - 18, Mustafizur Rahman - 3/13)
