With a brilliant batting performance from the top four batters, Bangladesh were able to post a mammoth total of 303/2 in 50 overs against Zimbabwe in the first ODI.

Bangladesh captain and opener Tamim Iqbal scored 62 runs while Liton Das smacked 81 runs before he was retired hurt. Anamul Haque, batting at #3, scored 73 runs while no. 4 batter Mushfiqur Rahim scored an unbeaten 52 runs to take the Bangladesh total across 300-run mark. 

For Zimbabwe, bowlers failed to produce something substantial against the Bangla batters. Victor Nyauchi and Sikandar Raza grabbed 1 wicket each. 

Earlier, Zimbabwe captain Regis Chakabva won the toss & opted to field first against Bangladesh in the 1st ODI. This match is being played at Harare Sports Club, Harare.
