LAH vs ISL: Courtesy of the batting unit's performance, Lahore Qalandars posted 199/7 against Islamabad United in the 16th match of Pakistan Super League 2023. Abdullah Shafique top-scored for his team as all batters except one cross the double-digit mark. 

After opting to bat first, Lahore Qalandars openers gave a good start as Mirza Tahir Baig and Fakhar Zaman added 58 runs in 6.1 overs. Mirza Tahir was dismissed in the 7th over by Islamabad captain Shadab Khan after scoring 20 runs off 17 balls. 

Fakhar Zaman was dismissed in the next over for a 23-ball-36. Abdullah Shafique, who was the top scorer, etched a partnership of 71 runs in 39 balls for the 3rd wicket with Sam Billings. Shafique was dismissed for 45 runs in 24 balls while Sam Billings managed 33 runs in 23 balls. 

Sikandar Raza remained unbeaten on 23 runs from just 10 balls to provide good finishing. For Islamabad United, Tom Curran was the top wicket-taker with 3 wickets to his name. Shadab Khan picked up 2 wickets while Abrar Ahmed and Hasan Ali managed 1 wicket each. 

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss & opted to bat first against Islamabad United in the 16th match of Pakistan Super League 2023. This match is being played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
