Brendon McCullum Set To Be New Head Coach Of England's Test Team; Confirms ECB
Former New Zealand wicket-keeper batter, Brendon McCullum, has been appointed as the new head coach for the England test cricket team.
This comes after England made a host of changes following a string of bad performances in the longest format of the game.
Rob Key, who was earlier appointed as the Managing Director of the men's team, primarily handed the test team captaincy to all-rounder Ben Stokes after Joe Root stepped down from the role.
Chris Silverwood, the former coach, also stepped down from the post after a 0-4 defeat in the Ashes.
The 40-year old Brendon McCullum is currently the head coach of the IPL franchise - Kolkata Knight Riders. The veteran has also the Caribbean Premier League franchise Trinbago Knight Riders.
