West Indies' Brian Lara scored 375 v England in 1994 at Antigua. It was the World Record for the highest individual score in Test cricket at that time surpassing the previous record of Sir Garfield Sobers, set in 1958 (365 not out).
Lara’s 375 in the first innings included 45 boundaries. He batted 766 minutes and faced 538 balls in the marathon knock.
