South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn has opted out of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Steyn, through a tweet, said that he will be taking some time off cricket. However, he made it clear that he is not retiring from cricket.
Dale Steyn played for Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) in IPL 2020 where he played three matches and took just one wicket.

Just a short message to let everyone know that I’ve made myself unavailable for RCB at this years IPL, I’m also not planning on playing for another team, just taking some time off during that period.
