Smart defensive bowling helped Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) restrict Chennai Super Kings(CSK) to 131/5 in the first inning of 1st match of the IPL 2022 season opener.
After putting CSK to bat first, Umesh Yadav did the job for KKR as he struck twice, taking both openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway, inside the powerplay and as Kolkata kept Chennai to 35 runs in the first six overs.
