Rohit Sharma struck 83 to give India a solid start before James Anderson picked two wickets before Tea on Day 1 of the 2nd test.
Resuming the 2nd session at 46/0, Rohit and KL Rahul began from they left; mixing attack with caution. While Rohit was the aggressor, KL held his defense at the other end. The two stitched India's first-century partnership away from home in over a decade.
