England reached 67/0 at the end of the 1st session of the first day's play in the 2nd Test against New Zealand at Edgbaston on Thursday.
Both the openers - Rory Burns and Dominic Sibley - looked patient to see off the new Duke ball as New Zealand fast bowlers bowled tidy lines. They mixed their patience with a bit of aggression whenever they could find a chance.
New Zealand has changed six players from its playing XI in the first test. Trent Boult has returned to the side.
BJ Watling got ruled out from the test just before the toss due to a sore back. Captain Kane Williamson was ruled out yesterday due to an elbow injury resulting in Tom Latham leading the side for this game.
Brief Score:
England - 67/0 in 29 overs (Rory Burns - 32*, Dominic Sibley - 31*)
