ENG vs IND - After English bowlers continued their impressive performance, picking up three wickets in the second session, Rishabh Pant & Ravindra Jadeja held the crease for India as India score 174/5 at tea.
After Hanuma Vihari was dismissed in the 3rd over after Lunch by Matty Potts; the young bowler went on to grab the priced wicket of Virat Kohli (11) 2 overs later. Shreyas Iyer was dismissed by James Anderson 3 overs later as the ace pacer grabbed his third wicket.
However, southpaws Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja stabilised the innings with an unbeaten partnership of 76 runs for the 6th wicket. Rishabh Pant is unbeaten on 53 runs off 52 deliveries while Ravindra Jadeja has scored 32 runs at the end of the 2nd session on Day 1.
For England, Matthew Potts picked up 2 wickets in the session while James Anderson managed 1 wicket in the 2nd session after picking up 2 wickets in the first session.
