Anderson picked up 4 wickets in 16 overs conceding 66 runs while Matty Potts also picked up 4 wickets in 9.2 overs before he had to leave the field due to a niggle. Stuart Broad & captain Ben Stokes picked up 1 wicket each.
Colin de Grandhomme was the top scorer for tourists with an unbeaten 42 runs in50 deliveries with 4 fours. Southee scored 26, Boult & Blundell scored 14 runs each while Daryl Mitchell scored 13 runs. None of the other batters managed to cross the double-digit mark.
