ENG vs NZ 1st test: After getting dismissed for a low total in the first innings, New Zealand bowling struck back and bowled out England for 141/10 in 42.5 overs.
The Kiwis used 4 pacers at their disposal, and all of them chipped in with wickets. Tim Southee was the pick of the bowlerd with 4 wickets, while Trent Boult picked up 3 wickets. Kyle Jamieson picked up 2 wickets whereas Colin de Grandhomme picked up 1.
For England, opener Zak Crawley and Alex Lees were the top scorers with 43 and 25 runs respectively. Former captain Joe Root scored 11 runs while none of the other batters managed to cross the double-digit mark. New Zealand were bowled out for 132 in the first innings as James Anderson and debutant Matty Potts picked up 4 wickets each while Stuart Broad and captain Ben Stokes chipped in with a scalp each.
