Jack Leach has retained his spot after being substituted in the first test due to injury. For New Zealand, Kane Williamson has been ruled out due to covid and Tom Latham is leading the side in his stead. 

Henry Nicholls has come in for Kane Williamson while Colin de Grandhomme and Ajaz Patel have made way Michael Bracewell and Matt Henry.
