England beat India by 8 wickets in the 3rd T20I at Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday, and lead the 5-match series 2-1.
England, while chasing the target of 157, cruised their way to an easy win, courtesy of Jos Buttler's 83* runs of 52 balls. English batsmen looked confident & aggressive against clueless Indian bowling attack. Buttler added 58 runs with Dawid Malan for the 2nd wicket and an unbeaten partnership of 77 runs with Johnny Bairstow to win the match for England convincingly with 10 balls to spare.
For India, Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar took one wicket each.
Earlier, Virat Kohli's 77* helped India post 156/6 in the first innings after losing 3 top-order wickets inside the powerplay.
India lost the toss & was put in to bat first by England. Kohli remained the highest scorer for India. After losing three wickets in the powerplay, Indian Skipper & Rishabh Pant etched a partnership of 38 runs, before losing the latter to an unfortunate run out. Hardik Pandya and Kohli added 70 runs for the 6th wicket to help reach India a fighting total.
For England, Mark Wood took 3 wickets.
