PAK vs ENG: In a thrilling 2nd Test, England pacers showed up in style as Pakistan were bowled out for 328 in the 4th innings, losing the match by 26 runs. With this win, England have built an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.
Chasing 355 runs to win, England got off to a good start as the openers Mohammad Rizwan (30) and Abdullah Shafique (45) added 66 runs for the first wicket. After the opening partnership was broken, Babar Azam was also dismissed (1) early on.
Imam-ul-Haq and Saud Shakeel held the crease for a while as these two added 108 runs before Imam was dismissed for 60 runs. While Faheem Ashraf (10) couldn't manage to do much, Mohammad Nawaz (45) held the crease to add 80 runs with Saud Shakeel.
However, once these two were dismissed, it was a matter of time before Pakistan batting crumbled. Saud Shakeel was the top scorer with 94 runs to his name. For England, Mark Wood picked up 4 wickets while James Anderson and Ollie Robinson scalped 2 wickets each. Jack Leach and Joe Root also registered 1 wicket each.
Earlier, England captain Ben Stokes won the toss & opted to bat first against Pakistan in the 2nd Test. This match was played at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan.
